Blair + Mitsuko
California, the first time I visited this amazing state, I couldn’t get enough of it. Some people might argue that they hate it for the people or the traffic or whatever reason, but I don’t seem to notice any of that when I go. Maybe it’s because I don’t live there, but to me, this state is simply breathtaking. With that said, when Mike offered me the chance to go with him to San Diego to shoot Blair & Mitsuko’s wedding, my face lit up like a Christmas tree. It’s been over 4 months since the wedding, but I remember it like it was yesterday. By far it was the best wedding this year. Day 1: Mike and I started our journey from his house in Avondale, stopping at enterprise to rent a car for the trip to San Diego. It was long trip, but I was rather occupied with the Xoom 4G.
We literally got there just in time; the rehearsal ceremony had just started as we approached the venue.
I shot bio on the groom…Blair is one of Mike’s good friends; one word can only describe this man, hilarious. His sense of humor was along my caliber so it made it that much easier to work with them. Mike had informed me about his sense of humor, and every time it caught me off guard, the entire time was a laugh fest and it made for a great experience.
Day 2: The next day started early with the anticipation of taking some of our best images. We had driven to Coronado Island to Blair’s parents’ house to rendezvous with everyone. It was decided that I would stay with Blair and be his paparazzi, while Mike headed over to the reception area to photograph Mitsuko getting ready.
Me and Blair were granted the keys to his dad’s red Porsche, being car lover’s we were quite excited! We were headed to the Indigo Hotel, where Blair and the other grooms men were to get ready. As we were pulling up the valet, I noticed that… oh my gosh it was Chris Forsberg! ANYWAYS, we finally got to the room for prep.
After Blair had go ready, Mike and Paul had arrived to shoot and record some video, Blair had taken us to their terrace suite, which had a fantastic view of downtown San Diego.
Wrapping up, it was finally time to head to the venue which happens to be on a military base on Coronado Island.

Day 3: The purpose of our last day was to do something I’ve wanted to do since my first wedding: trash the dress. We met back up at the command station, Blair’s Parents’ house, for a quick rundown, next stop, the dog beach. Surprisingly, it was very open and wasn’t as saturated with people as we expected.

Last stop, The north side of Coronado Island
This couple was the best, they wanted epic photos and we provided. I almost hate to say this but I wish every couple was this over the top fun and energetic, with a great sense of humor. I wish them a well and beautiful happy marriage!
